Logicism explained

In the philosophy of math, there is a school of thought that says math is just an extension of logic. So, all math can be reduced to logic. Bertrand Russell and Alfred North Whitehead supported this idea, which was first put forward by Gottlob Frege.

Frege gave up on the project when Russell found a paradox that showed that the naive set theory was wrong. In their Principia Mathematica, Russell and Whitehead wrote about how they kept working on the project.
