Coherentism explained

There are two different kinds of consistency. One of these is the coherence theory of truth, which says that sentences are only true if they make sense with a certain set of sentences. A person’s belief is true only if it fits with most of the other things they believe. Most of the time, people think that coherence means more than just consistency. Most of the time, it’s best to choose statements that are complete and meet the requirements of Occam’s razor.

The second type of coherentism is the belief in the coherence theory of justification. This is an epistemological approach that goes against foundationalism and offers a solution to the regress argument. This epistemological capacity is a theory about how beliefs can be justified.
