Aristotelianism explained

The work of Aristotle and the Peripatetic school is a big part of what makes the philosophical tradition what it is. Critics sometimes compare Aristotelianism to Plato’s rationalism and idealism, but its supporters see it as a critical development of Plato‘s ideas. Most surprisingly, Aristotelianism brings Plato’s ideas down to earth as goals and goods that are internal to biological species. This is what makes the idea of teleology so Aristotelian.
