Theological non-cognitivism explained

There are two main arguments: Kai Nielsen used the verifiability theory of meaning to conclude that religious language is meaningless because it is not verifiable, proving weak atheism. The point of the argument is that religious language, especially words like “GOD” (all caps), doesn’t make sense in a cognitive sense.

It is used as proof that there is no such thing as “God,” and so atheism is based on it. George H. Smith used an attribute-based approach to argue that the concept of “god” has no meaningful attributes, only negatively defined or relational characteristics, making it meaningless — leading to the conclusion that “God does not exist,” thus proving strong atheism.
