Communitarianism explained

In the late 20th century, a group of related but different philosophies emerged that were against liberalism and capitalism and supported things like civil society. Communitarianism is not necessarily opposed to liberalism in the way that the word is used in modern America.

Instead, it puts more emphasis on communities and societies and less on the individual. Individual or community? This question often has a huge effect on the most important ethical questions, such as health care, abortion, multiculturalism, hate speech, etc.
